The Cutest Supplies For BACK TO SCHOOL - @weareooly

Say it isn't so!
Yes, I am a mom saying that!  HA HA!

I was not paid to feature this post!  All products were sent free of charge by the company wanting to be featured.  All opinions are my own.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about these products.

I love having my kids home during the summer months and I will truly miss it when they are all grown up and moving on.  With that being said, all the stores are getting geared up for BACK TO SCHOOLPencils and backpacks and erasers...OH MY!
My favorite SEASON for shopping!
Honestly though, I love a good reason to shop!
I just learned about the cutest brand: OOLY
Have you heard of them before?
They sent us some "Sweet Things" graphite pencils and "Icy Pops" fruit scented puzzle erasers to check out, as we gear up our six kids to head back to school!
These "Sweet Things" graphite pencils are not only adorable, but they are also #2 and the perfect way to start the year off with some cuteness and GIRL POWER!
These Icy Pop puzzle erasers not only smell incredibly fruity.
I love that they come apart, because it makes using them easier and makes having them fun!
I would have loved having these in my backpack as a kid.
Both of these school supplies they sent...are adorable, functional and something most young ladies would love to have packed in their new backpacks for the first day of school 2019-2020.
You guys, their school supplies are not only adorable, bright and colorful...but also great quality.
CLICK HERE to learn more about OOLY products, because they have products for all ages and yes, even for boys too.

I married a GAMER/NERD!
It's okay...he's fine with it and so am I.
Our boys have also inherited that "gamer gene" and they love board games all of all shapes and sizes.
If you could only see our bookshelves full of'd understand!

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about each of these games.
So when a package arrived with several NEW games from Blue Orange Games...everyone in the house got excited (more the guys than the girls...but we all still were curious about each of the games that arrived).
Sherlock Express is a fun mystery (Clue) style game.
The player has to help find Moriarty's accomplice.  There are six suspects and it's your job to figure out if they are all innocent (to catch Moriarty himself) or if one of the six is guilty.  It's a quick game, where you use deduction to find the guilty party.
Perfect for ages 7+ and up to six players.
Dog Rush is a game your little ones will really enjoy playing with you!
The idea...the dogs leashes get all tangled after chasing a rabbit and it's your job to figure out which leash is attached to which dog.  If you guess right, you get a bone.  It's simple, easy and fun!
Perfect for ages 6+ and up to six players.
TopiCubes will get your brain spinning!
It's a simple cube game that plays very quickly.  You roll the dice and match the colors together to then shout out an item it's asking for.  It could be a red cube with a K and a red cube with a soccer ball.  When you've come up with a word (for instance KICK), you shout it out and collect the cubes as a point for you.  Simple but yet super fun!  My family has become super competitive with this one.  LOVE IT!
Perfect for ages 7+ and up to six players.
Panic Island was a favorite for me to watch as they figured out how to play.
The idea is that you have to save the island from the exploding volcano.  This is a cooperative game (you work together) to flip cards two at a time.  It's sort of like memory, but there are actions you do depending on the card but you need to find the Raft Paddle before time runs out.  At one point, everyone had to keep their chin on the table as they flipped cards over.  They had to switch chairs, etc. We downloaded the 2 minute soundtrack, which makes playing even more fun with sound effects and all!
Perfect for ages 8+ and up to 8 players.
Oh My Gold is a quick but fun PUSH YOUR LUCK game.
You have to roll the lucky keys to open treasure chests and roll gold or diamonds to get your treasure.  You can roll a second time, if you want to take the risk.  It's fun, exciting and simple to learn to play.
Perfect for ages 6+ and up to 4 players.
And finally, Dragon's Cave is a more involved game but exciting game.
With a fun board game and a race to the finish you race for treasure...but don't let the dragon figure out your next move.  It's a fun game that can involve some bluffing and is guaranteed to bring about some giggles.
Perfect for ages 7+ and up to 4 players.

Most of these games are perfect to play with younger players too.  I love that!  They are simple enough EVEN ME me to play (I have a hard time with complicated games).

Lightning, Thunder, Water Slides And STING RAYS - @AquaticaTexas

I can't believe we've been in San Antonio for over a week already!
Our summer vacation time has been busy and well spent...making memories and having lots of laugh with our family!

We were given six media tickets to come to Aquatica, in return for this review/feature.  I was not offered any monetary compensation for posting about our time spent there.  We purchased the Sting Ray Encounter experiences on our own accord, as well as parking and food.
Today, we scheduled to go to Aquatica - which is the water park in conjunction with Sea World.  In California, the water park is located on a completely different campus, but in San Antonio, they are right next door to each other.  They share the same parking lot and main entrance.  It's pretty nice!

The first stop was to get a bracelet (that is linked to my credit card), so that I could put my backpack and belongings in a locker (which we paid for on our own accord) and still be able to purchase food and whatever else we might need for the day.  This makes the time at the park convenient and EASY for parents.  LIFE VESTS ARE ALSO available all around the park for all ages too.
I love that!  Safety first!

We had decided ahead of time that we would make this AQUATICA experience even more special for our kids...because we paid to experience some time the STING RAYS.  We got to get in the pool with over 130 sting rays, touch them, feed them and really experience more than I ever knew about them.  It was such an incredible experience (this was our belated Christmas present to our nieces and nephews...from both aunties) and I'm so glad we did it!
The kids got to experience their incredible THRILL SEEKING water slides!  I'll be posting videos on my IG ( CLICK HERE) if you want to check it out!
Yes, these are the ones that the bottom drops out, to launch you into the slide, as you go down.  I wasn't brave enough to attempt them.
We did the lazy river and we all enjoyed a couple WAVE sessions in the wave pool too.
The unfortunate part of the day...we didn't get to do that much at the park (not as much as we were hoping to).  There were thunderstorms and torrential rain (driving back to my parents house was absolutely terrifying because of the flash flooding).  When there is lightning, the park closes it's rides for safety...which makes sense.  Such a bummer for us...but we did get return tickets we can use another time (good for one year).

Unfortunately, we didn't make it back to the park before we headed back to California.
Maybe this is a good reason to get back there before next summer.

Both parks, AQUATICA AND SEAWORLD were incredible experiences for us.  We got hands on time with Sea Life and got to spend the day with our family making memories we will never forget.

If you're visiting TEXAS (San Antonio Area), please check out these fun amusement/water parks.  My sister's family purchased SEASON TICKETS because they had such a blast at both parks.

I was not paid to feature this post!  We were offered complimentary tickets to the park in return for this post.  These tickets did not include parking, our sting ray experience or any other expenses like locker rental or food while we were there.

Learning About Sea Life And Lots Of AQUARIUM FUN - @SanAntonioAquarium

When I'm on vacation, I love to make sure to pack in as much "EDUCATIONAL" fun as I can in!
I mean, summer is a break from learning...but we can still grow in knowledge and experiences, right?

We were given five complimentary media tickets to visit the aquarium in return for me posting this review/feature.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about our time spent at the aquarium.
So what better way to fit in some fun, hands on learning and family time...than the aquarium?
Did you know that San Antonio has a great AQUARIUM that is very HANDS ON?
We had the pleasure of checking out everything that this fun place had to offer!
There is so much to see and do at this incredible aquarium.
They have a Sloth encounter/exhibit, where you can pay to touch and even hold a sloth.  I didn't get to this trip (at least not a real one), but maybe next time I will.  I did get to watch someone check it off their bucket list tho!
That was pretty cool!
They have lots of COY fish, that are very friendly!
Our kids had a blast pretending to be at the beach and my nephew found several "buried treasure" too.
How fun is that?
The STINGRAY POOL is my favorite part of this Aquarium, because the rays are so friendly!  They always want to be fed, so a little touching and they are willing to show us their award winning smiles.
The Iguana exhibit truly intrigued my kids.
They loved getting to pet and touch these "prehistoric" looking lizards.
Yes, they got to FEED THE BIRDS!
And this mama got pooped on!   So it left a lasting impression on me!
 HA HA!
This aquarium has grown since the last time I visited.
They now have a whole outdoor area with lots of other incredible animals to see & even touch.
We had a blast with the Alpacas.
Our time spent at the San Antonio Aquarium was fun filled and educational too.  I'd definitely recommend you check it out if you live in the area or are traveling into the area this summer!
