@EATURXICA - A Crunchy, Healthy, Satisfying Snack I Can't Get Enough Of...

I am a night time snacker.
My choices of snacking don't always tend to be healthy.
In fact, I typically eat stuff that is really NOT good for me...when we're watching shows or movies at night time.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest review about these products.

Have you ever tried Jicama?
It's a Mexican turnip, that is crunchy and sweet.
The inside is white and looks like a pear.
It tastes great chopped up in salads, mixed with some fruits and you can also use it as tortilla shells for tacos or just to snack on with dips.
Xica Jicama just sent me two different variations of their products to try.
These ones I'll eat on the couch while we are enjoying our shows.
These ones we can try to create some fun tacos with...YUMMY!

Regardless how you like to eat's good for your bone health, a great option for diabetic people to snack on, improves digestion, can be cooked lots of different ways and is rich in Vitamin C.  I mean, there is way to many benefits to not enjoy some fresh JICAMA in your diet.

Tune Into The @HallmarkChannel on Feb 25th To See The @Movieguide AWARDS

Friday night is an absolute blur!!

I was not paid to feature this post!  My husband's show was nominated for two Movieguide awards and we attended this event on behalf of Netflix.
We headed to the Hilton in Universal City to walk the RED CARPET (yes, just like a celebrity) for the MOVIEGUIDE AWARDS 2019.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal, mingled with HOLLYWOOD stars, producers and directors, and watched as my husband and the crew from "MEDAL OF HONOR" a @Netflix original, received the "Faith and Freedom" award.
What an incredible honor!  The episode 4 - HERSHEY - was nominated in two categories (Faith & Freedom for TV and Epiphany Prize for TV) for this AWARD WINNING evening and brought home one of the two categories.
Such an amazing honor!
MAKE SURE YOU set your DVR to record or tune into the Hallmark Channel on February 25th to see them accept this award on the 2019 MovieGuide Awards Show.

Protect Your Hands At The Salon With @ManiGlovz

Gel nails...are the incredible NO CHIPPING manicure that have swept onto the hands of so many women in our cities.
Admit it, you've had gel nails done a time or two before, right?
If so, you know the your hand does several passes (for a minute or two at a time) under a UV lamp to activate and set the gel.  I mean, this is seriously the reason these manicures last as long as they do.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about this product.

But have you ever thought about the harmful UV rays that your hands are being exposed to, every time you visit the salon?  I've always heard a way to truly judge the age of a woman (because so many ladies now days are doing things to their faces and bodies to rewind time) is to look at their neck and their hands.  Those two places rarely lie about their age.
They are a tell tale sign of true aging...and probably the UV exposure during the salon trips may be adding even more years to the range.
You purchase a pair of ManiGlovz.
To me, it's worth the investment over time for sure.
Plus, they really are pretty reasonably priced (especially if you're an every two weeker nail person).   These "manicure" style gloves are super cute, have UPF 50+ protection built in and will protect those already fragile hands from even more wrinkles and exposure to harmful rays.
ManiGlovz™ UV Protective Manicure and Sunblock gloves are made using Certified UPF 50+ UV Protective Compression Tricot (some with hydrating Aloe Vera Microcapsules). Comprised of a combination of polyester super microfibers and lycra, our max-dry performance fabric resists runs and provides phenomenal 4-way stretch, along with superb retention capabilities. Most ManiGlovz™ are 82% Polyester, 18% Lycra
It's so easy too!
You simply put your pair of ManiGlovz on prior to your gel manicure.
Heck, you can even wear them when you're driving to the salon (they are that cute).
You wear them throughout the manicure.
Take them off and pack them away in your purse, in the cute plastic carry case it comes with,  for two weeks later when you go back into get them re-done.
Rest assured, you're hands are being protected and your nail technician isn't going to mind the cute design or the fact that your hands are "for the most part" covered while she works on your nails.  Why would she?
CLICK HERE to purchase some ManiGlovz for yourself!

Buy your daughter a pair.
Heck, grab a pair for your Mother In Law too.
Save you hands from that UV exposure, so your nails can still look INCREDIBLE all the time.

My Eyes Are RED CARPET Ready For The @Movieguide Awards - Thanks @LittleMiss_Fabulash

My eyelashes are a big deal to me.
God blessed me with a fairly decent pair originally...but with a little mascara, my lashes have always popped!  In fact, I'd like to think that my eyes tend to be a focal point...especially when I'm meeting people for the first time.  I love making eye contact with people!

I was not paid to feature this post!  I won a giveaway of a full set of lashes from Little Miss Fabulash and I decided to post about it, to thank her for my amazing lashes.

Some of you may or may not husband's show "Medal of Honor" on Netflix (have you watched it yet) has been nominated in two categories for this year's MOVIEGUIDE Awards.  I consider this a huge honor!  Regardless if they win, to be nominated says a whole lot about the show and especially the episode nominated (my favorite one, #4).
So I've been prepping to walk the RED CARPET with my man...and today, I had the pleasure of getting lash extensions done by "Little Miss Fabulash".

I WON a full set of lashes (extensions) on Instagram yesterday and she was able to schedule me in for an appointment immediately.   She's incredibly professional, had me fill out the waiver and acknowledge everything.
She had some fun music playing throughout my appointment, in a calm clean room, as she went about applying my incredibly full and amazing set of lashes.
We chatted, I fell asleep (literally, I am pretty sure I nodded off, I was so comfortable) and then she showed me how BANGIN' my eyes look!
She did an incredible job!
Not to mention that her prices are extremely reasonable too, so getting a fill won't cost me an arm and a leg.  And she's always looking for new clients too.
I snapped a few pictures when I got home, so you can see...but you won't get to see the complete look until Friday when I'm wearing my black Lulu's gown, have on all my sparkly jewelry and I'm walking the Red Carpet on the arm of my handsome writer/producer hubby.  I can't wait!
Excited doesn't even begin to explain my feelings about it!

CLICK HERE to check out her IG profile (see pics of her work) and then message her to schedule yourself an appointment.

I was not paid to feature this post!  I decided to blog about this on my own accord, after winning a full set of lashes on IG from Little Miss Fabulash.

Guided Journaling in the NEW YEAR with @foxchapel

I think I've told you guys before, but I did a lot of journaling in high school.
I received my first journal, that I actually used, I think when I was 16.
It sparked something in me to write.  Those journals are some of the funniest, most awful, wonderful mementos of my high school years.
I'm so glad that I wrote my feelings down.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinions about these products.

Honestly, my two daughters are glad too, because apparently it's incredibly entertaining reading material for them now.
It just makes me laugh and encourages me to ENCOURAGE them to write too.

I think it would have been easier for me, back in the day, to have some sort of guided journal.  Something that could inspire my daily writing with a subject or question for me to write about.  Giving some extra insight into who I was in those days...not just about the usual gossip or drama I chose to write about.  I still giggle about the people and situations I wrote about back then.
Fox Chapel Publishing has some super fun, super awesome guided journals that they sent for my girls and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!
The Peace Love and Music guided journal gives her the chance to write about herself.  How she feels, about friends, music and even things she likes to do for fun.  There are short writing prompts at the top of the left page and then basically the rest of that page and another page left for her to write it down.  LOVE!!
The Dream Big! guided journal gives her the chance to write about things that inspire her.  Things about her world, her dreams, and her life.
With writing prompts like, "Imagine that you are running for class president.  Write a speech convincing your classmates to vote for you."
I mean...come on.
When I was in high school, I would have filled that page up so quick.  HA HA!

Both of these guided journals are made with 200 year paper that is acid free and is perfect for writing with a pen or pencil (or maybe gel pens if you want to get fancy).   Plus, Fox Chapel Publishing has more than just teen journals.  They have books for just about every category you could think of.
