I was driving the kids to school this morning and like I always do, I had the morning radio show playing in the background as we drove along.
This morning there was an advertisement (or they were discussing) a new movie (IN JUNE OF 2018) that's coming out starring Amy Schumer.  As I listened, I was immediately interested in learning more...because it sounded like something I definitely will need to see.

I was not paid to feature this post!  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about this movie preview or my feelings on the topic of the movie itself.

It's called "I FEEL PRETTY"!

In fact, it sounds like something all women (girls, teens, women in general) should watch, so we can celebrate ourselves.  We all struggle with body issues!  Totally not lying!  TRUST ME!  There is something about even the most perfect body, that that person absolutely hates about themselves and wishes they could magically change!

I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE HOW SAD THIS MAKES ME!  Especially with the reality that I am raising two beautiful girls up in a world where sometimes, we are our own worst critic.   And the sad fact that if not, there is always someone willing to offer their unsolicited opinion about our flaws to make us feel like less of ourselves than we are.  It makes me sick!

So what if we could have something happen, where instead of seeing all the bad stuff, we saw a reflection of our perfect self looking back at us in the mirror, smiling at us.  I don't think it needs to happen by head injury, however that's what happens in this movie and it works for her (she falls off a bike in spin class).  I think it needs to be something we are instilling in our young girls when WAY BEFORE they start seeing their imperfections (or what they would classify as that).

Who's with me?
This is definitely a movie I want to see and depending on the rating, a movie I hope to be able to take my girls to watch too (not sure what it's rated yet).  Not only is it funny & silly, but it also offers the idea of "what if we could only see ourselves as the most AMAZING SELF we could be".
My how life would drastically change for the better for each lady reading this post.

Am I right?
