Flawless Complexion Thanks To @RimmelLondonUS Lasting Finish Products

I typically don't wear much makeup daily (in fact, sometimes none at all).
But there are days that I like putting on a full face of makeup and taking on the DAY like a QUEEN!
When I do, I don't like to wear makeup that makes my face feel cakey or makes my face look painted on.  I like my complexion to still look fairly natural.

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about these products.
THAT MEANS...I have strict guidelines to the makeup I do chose to wear.
I prefer makeup that I would classify as BREATHABLE...wouldn't you?
Rimmel London has a new "Lasting Finish Breathable" Foundation and Concealer that is simply amazing.
The "Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation" even has an applicator inside the bottle, which makes the application super easy and it covers great.
The "Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer" is basically an applicator tube.
You just squeeze and apply.  I just wish that it would erase the wrinkles too!
With that being said, the dark circles under my eyes were completely magic!  I LOVE THAT!
My finished look is nothing short of flawless (of course in my opinion only) and I am delighted that products like these exist for the days when this mommy wants to step up her makeup game and be FLAWLESS & FIERCE!

You're going to love these products too!!

I hate meal planning!  I'm horrible at it too!
I've never been good at planning ahead, grocery shopping for a week's worth of cooking and then making it happen!  I know it's not because I lack the desire to eat fresh and delicious food or to feed that to our entire family all week long!  Now that we have so many people in the house and so many schedules to keep track of, it makes it even more difficult to manage a cooking schedule for a fresh meal for everyone to enjoy!

All products for this review/feature were provided by the company being featured.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about this app.  I was only provided promotional items for this company, they did not provide any food or groceries to cook anything.

So this year, I'm determined to do better about this!
But how?
I recently found out about an APP that is free to download, simple to use and can help you organize, plan and execute (it even shows you how, step by step cook) fabulous fresh meals every single day for your family!
It's called INNIT!
I honestly have no excuse now!

I can't say I don't know what to buy...because it builds a shopping list for me (and they even sent me a reusable bag to use in the grocery store when I shop).
I can't say I don't know how to prep this meal, because this app takes me through the entire process every step of the way.
So honestly, there is nothing stopping me from managing my schedule and also having a meal plan in place weekly with this super easy to use APP!

Here's to looking at 2018, as a family with a lot more fresh cooked, healthy meals and a mommy who is going to be more organized, prepped and ready to make it happen!

My Niece Is Going To LOVE Her New Learning Lovey @BabyJackCo #BabyJackFans

I had a brand new niece born a little over two weeks ago.
What a precious gift!
NOW...I'm on a mission to become the...
HA!  Yes, that shirt is mine & I love it!

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting my honest opinion about these products.
So that means that this AUNTIE is on the hunt for all the MOST AMAZING baby products that have come about in the past nine years since I had a baby!
But where to start?
I came across Baby Jack & Co and immediately fell in love with their Learning Lovey's.
In particular, I absolutely loved the Unicorns, Rainbows and Music Notes Tag Blanket for my new baby niece.
These Minky Tag Blankets are not only adorable and super soft, but they also are a great sensory play toy as well.
The material on both sides is bright & colorful!
The designs of all these Lovey's are personally designed by the owner.
And the minky side is SUPER DUPER SOFT!
It's totally something that a little one won't mind having close to their face.
So as my niece grows and changes, she will INSIST on taking this Learning Lovey everywhere.   When her hand eye coordination grows, she will be pulling, chewing and probably even rubbing on the colorful tags on all four sides of this blanket.  And don't worry...her fingers won't get stuck in any of the loops because they are sewn shut!
This Baby Jack & Co Lovey Minky Tag blanket can also hook on her car seat (see plastic attached hook), for when she gets to an age where she starts throwing things (they all get to that stage), so her mom and dad don't have to worry about her Lovey hitting the ground & getting all dirty.

BEST of all, they are offering my readers a 20% coupon code to use at checkout on their site, when you go to order your baby, niece or friends baby one of these Baby Jack & Co Lovey's.

8 Mos Old And COMING INTO HEAT? This Should Be Interesting!

Aren't you guys excited?
I mean, I have to keep you guys up to date on our sweet Harley Girl.
I know you all love the updates!

I not compensated at all by posting about our puppy who was purchased on our own accord.  I was not offered any products or money in return for this feature.
If you read the title, then you know that she is starting to "come into her own", I think.  I've never had a dog go into heat and I am honestly not looking forward to doggy diapers and the such...but I do want a healthy, emotional sound dog, so we are waiting until her first cycle to get her fixed.

This means that she goes on hunger strikes...where her typical feeding times are left with a still full bowl and a puppy sleeping in her crate instead...even though the door is wide open.
OUR male dog can't get enough of her already.  It's funny because he's pretty old and has some hip issues, but she will actually stand over him to have him smell her.  He gets excited, but is not able to jump, so he does a little dance to the side, which makes everyone in the house giggle!  It is pretty adorable...
She is continuing to grow, mature and become a very strong FEMALE DOG.
She has lots of opinions & a strong voice!
She is learning who is in charge and who is her playmate in our home.
She is very smart, playful, aware and protective.
When I am home with her, she is my shadow and I love it!  It also means that she is always under foot and sometimes I step back and accidentally step on her.
HA HA!  I think I make her feel safe...
Do you have any helpful hints for me, about dealing with a female dog's cycle and "that time of the month"?
Anything is helpful, as I am a first timer to this experience all together!

This year, it seems that the FLU is really BAD!
So bad that there have been several deaths in our area because of complications to the flu strain.  THIS SCARES ME!  I mean, the hospitals are almost discouraging people from coming in, unless it's absolutely crucial...because it continues to spread.

As a mommy of six kids in our home...I have to be ULTIMATELY cautious when sickness rears it's ugly head with any of us.  In a family the size of ours, if we all end up down & out with a sickness...we are in big trouble!

So...I figured I would share some of my tips to keeping the sick child isolated and preventing the spread of the germs in our home, especially during the winter months.
FIRST OFF...treat sickness like the plague (especially when there is a fever involved)!
I am not joking here!  ISOLATE the child that is ill!  Put them in a room near a bathroom (so it's close by) and keep them in there until they are feeling better.  This is not mean, it's necessary.  My kids know that if they are sick, they are stuck in bed until they are better.  This does not mean that they are not offered plenty of fluids (super important), plenty of snacks & food (if they can keep it down), and entertainment while they are in bed (shows to watch, games to play, books to read, etc.).  This is also how you will know if your child is really sick or faking it!
NOT SICK KIDS don't want to spend an entire day in bed...unless they are a teenager who just wants to sleep...ha ha!

I know that in some parts of the country, the weather is SUPER cold, and this may be an issue, but getting some fresh air into the room they are laying in will keep the germs not only isolated, but floating out of the home.  Because we have the heater on in the winter, it's circulating the if there is any way possible you can open the windows even a crack, to let some fresh air in and bad germs it!

LYSOL & LYSOL WIPES are your friend!
You can ask my kids, but when we have a "SICK KID" in the house, I am constantly spraying & wiping everything.  Yes, this means that trip so the bathroom involve a wipe down.  But hey, since we have six kids in this home, the other five may touch something and then come down with the same thing.  I am not paranoid...I am trying to be smart and protect everyone else.  TRUST ME...this works!

Especially if your child shares a room with another child, make sure you strip all the bedding down & clean it all in hot water.  Not only does this provide germ prevention, but when the child is feeling better, having clean bedding to sleep in is always a delight.  This may seem simple, but some parents don't do this...and probably should to prevent the spread of germs.  Also, let the other child sleep elsewhere until the sick child is fully recovered!

Make sure you are keeping whoever is sick full of tea with local honey, sprite (if it's tummy flu), Gatorade, or even Pedialyte.  You don't want your child to end up in the hospital because of dehydration.

Don't let the fever control you.  Fevers are good (my ex-MIL taught this to me and I will always remember it)...and are there to help fight off whatever is attacking your body.  However, keeping a tight reign on how HIGH you let the fevers get.  Piggy back Ibuprofen and Tylenol if you must to help them stay comfortable and maintain a lower fever if any.

As I mentioned before, when a child is home sick, they are in BED!  I know that some kids "feel" better when they are not really feeling better...but they need to rest.  Their body needs to recover!  The stuff that is going around this year is rough to get rid of, so extra rest is a MUST.  Early bedtimes help too.  Even mandatory naps during the day (yes, even my older kids get this...where the windows are shut dark and they have to try to sleep for a bit).  Like I said, I am not paranoid, I am trying to be smart so the rest of us don't get sick.

I don't know why...and I really think it tastes kinda awful, but the mixture of apple cider vinegar, small amount of water & lemon juice, local honey and cayenne in a little shot glass helps neutralize your system and protect you from the flu.  Like I said, I don't know the actual science behind it, but I do know that it works in prevention and even shortening of sickness times.  If you think about it being "salad dressing" then it's easier to swallow...ha ha!

If you're kids are sick...don't send them to school, to church, to any social outing until they are clear of a fever for 24 hours.  If they have a horrible cough or uncontrollable runny nose, these may be reasons to keep them home too.  Preventing the spread of these germs will help end the strain do you part and help PREVENT others from getting whatever too!

I hope these tips help you this year, as we all combat the flu and virus bugs that are running rampant in our towns.  Keep your kids home, well rested, hydrated, pumped full of vitamins (from healthy foods, etc.) for a strong immune system, teach them to keep their hands clean when they are at school and around sick people, and pray that people keep their kids home from school if their child is truly sick to help control an outbreak.

COMMENT BELOW on other ideas you may have on how to prevent the spread of the cold/flu/germs this winter.  What do you do to keep your family healthy and avoid getting sick?

Colors For Days & Fabulous Bold Eyes From @sinfulcolors #SCVanessa

Right now, it seems the trends for EVERYTHING is shimmery, sparkly and almost unicorny (yes, I made that word up).
Have you noticed?
If not, it's probably because you don't have teenage girls who INSIST on all that jazz.
But I do...

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about this new collaboration and makeup line.

I have tween/teens who LOVE two & shine!
I mean, come on...honestly, most girls do!
So after already previewing the #SCVanessa Sinful Colors line collaboration with Vanessa Hudgens (CLICK HERE to see the feature), when we received more...I knew they had to help me with this feature and try it out too!
HELLO...they loved this!
The Stop & Stare Gel Eyeliner in bright blue and Lash Splash Diva Lash Mascara were my oldest daughter's favorite.  Of course, she wanted to do her makeup herself and honestly (she watches YouTube videos of people applying makeup), she's pretty darn good at it.
She even does my makeup sometimes (kinda fun for sure)!
Of course, they don't wear makeup on a daily basis yet...but next year...the fun will officially begin (so I support the practice on occasion) for her.
My youngest daughter enjoyed me applying this Sinful Colors line of products on her.
She felt almost magical when she looked in the mirror.
The Shady Babe Cream Eye Shadow and the Bold Brow Intense Effects gave her eyelid quite the shimmer.   It's just simply pretty!
Ultimately, I'd say the girls loved this Sinful Colors #SCVANESSA makeup line as much, if not more than me!
The look on their faces says it all!

Argan Oil Nail Polish? @SallyHansen Color Therapy

I've never heard of nail polish with Argan Oil in it.
Have you?

I do know one thing...during the winter months, my nails & overall moisture of my hands LACK BIG TIME!  How about you?

All products for this review/feature were sent free of charge by the company.  I was not offered any monetary compensation by posting about these nail polishes from Sally Hansen.

I also know that during the winter months, bright colors, flowers and pretty things help my mood when the sun isn't shining every day!
I'm not very artistic...but I do love a bright, shimmery color to paint my nails during the winter months.  Because my hands are sometimes a focal point (or at least noticeable) when I am at work...I try my best to keep my nails painted in a pretty color.  This Color Therapy with Argan Oil nail polish & top coat actually smell a little different than normal polishes.  It's nice!  I tried out this Plum Euphoria Color Therapy nail polish and Color Therapy clear top coat.
The finished results were flawless & fabulous!
You'd never guess my looking at my nails, that's it's the middle of winter!
